DMCA & copyright

Vorix Labs respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users of our website to do the same. This page sets out our procedure under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, for reporting alleged copyright infringement and for submitting counter-notifications.

1. Designated agent

Our designated agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement is:

Vorix Labs — DMCA Agent
Email: yabdallah17@proton.me
Subject line: DMCA Notice

2. Required elements of a notice

A valid DMCA notice must be in writing and include all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the allegedly infringed work;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works);
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, with sufficient information to locate the material on our website (URL is best);
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you (name, email, phone, mailing address);
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

3. Repeat-infringer policy

It is Vorix Labs' policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, to terminate accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.

4. Counter-notification

If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification containing the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature;
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before it was removed or disabled;
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the judicial district where your address is located (or, if outside the United States, the district where Vorix Labs may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification of infringement or an agent of such person.

5. False notices

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents information in a notice or counter-notice may be subject to liability. Please consult counsel before submitting either.

6. Trademark and other IP

For trademark, right-of-publicity, or other (non-copyright) intellectual-property complaints, please contact yabdallah17@proton.me with a description of the right asserted, the basis for your claim, and the location of the allegedly infringing material on our site.
